MARANHÃO STATE ENVIRONMENT FORUM.

The IV Environment Forum will be held on November 04th to 07th 2020, which will be held in the Noble Hall of Ceuma University, CAMPUS Renascença.

In this Forum, quality bibliographic materials will be published that will provide students, in addition to the social and scientific experience of contact with researchers from various parts of Brazil, the possibility of improving their curricula.

The 30 best works will be selected for Revista Ceuma Perspectivas and Revista de Investigações Biomédicas as a special edition.

The Environmental Forum of the State of Maranhão is a Scientific Event held annually by the Academic Master's Program in the Environment of the CEUMA University.

The 1st Environment Forum of the State of Maranhão, with the central theme: “Environment overview in the State of Maranhão and alternatives to minimize the impacts caused over the years” was held in the First Semester of 2017 based on the motivation of teachers for the holding of the First Scientific Event of the Master's in Environment. Researchers from Maranhão and other states gave lectures with an emphasis on environmental issues, seeking alternatives to mitigate the impacts caused by different types of xenobiotic compounds, as well as the relationship between a contaminated environment and human and animal health. The event continued with scientific discussions and presentation of works by the Researchers AND by the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
The experience of the First Event served as an incentive to hold, in the First Semester of 2018, the II Maranhão Environment Forum with the theme: “Health and the Environment in Debate”. The intention was to promote scientific discussions with both researchers and the community in order to deepen this theme in our region. During the event, issues related to socio-environmental conditions were discussed and alternatives were raised to reduce impacts on human health and the environment. The event also highlighted the presentation of scientific works, in the academic scope of graduation and post-graduation, discussing the importance of the discussion in a critical and reflective way.
On March 20, 21, 22 and 23, 2019, the III Edition of the Maranhão Environment Forum was held with the participation of renowned researchers in the Environmental Area and a call for publication of scientific works in the Annals of the Event, as well as in the first two editions.
